Team Lead, Taxation
As Team Lead, Taxation Leena works closely with clients optimizing their overall tax position through the delivery of customized Canadian and US tax advice and in the preparation of their annual income tax returns.
Leena has over 15 years experience in cross-border Canada-US personal tax planning, consulting, and compliance. Prior to joining WealthBridge, Leena was a Senior Manager at Andersen LLP. There she supported high net worth families with their personal, corporate, and Canadian estate & trust accounting and tax needs.
Leena is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and she has completed Years 1 and 2 of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Program (IDTP). She is also in the process of earning her Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation through Family Enterprise Canada.
Leena is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge where she studied Accounting and The University of Nevada where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Criminal Justice (with a minor in Information Systems).
Leena and her husband are busy parents with two young children at home. In her free time, Leena finds joy and enrichment through travel, exploring new cultures and experiencing diverse corners of the world. She is strong believer in lifelong learning and is constantly seeking opportunities for education and personal growth.
